Akosua Adoma Owusu, a Ghanaian American film maker was born in 1984. Her work addresses the collision of identities of Africans in the USA. She has been awarded fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the MacDowell colony. Her work is in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art, NY and the Yale University Film Study Center. She holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
