The Underground Railroad and Black History Conference has been an annual tradition at the Department of Afrciology and African American Studies for two decades, since 2003. This year, we are very excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary online, facilitated by distinguished historian, Dr. James Oakes from the City University of New York (CUNY). Professor Oakes will speak on the anti-slavery nature of the U.S. Constitution. There will be a Q&A session following Prof. Oakes' lecture.
