Please join us for this program exploring the history of the Montford Point Marines, the first African Americans to serve in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
We’ll hear from Montford Point Marine Association, Philadelphia Chapter 1 President Joseph H. Geeter, as well as some first person accounts from original Montford Point Marines. Chapter 1 Auxiliary member Karen Asper Jordan and Dr. Kenneth Scott will also join us to reflect on two Philadelphia Montford Point Marines who resided in North Philadelphia, Cecil B. Moore and Floyd Alston.
