Welcome to Permaculture provides an introduction to the history, ethics, principles and social impact of permaculture.
Presenter Jeannie Gerth is a grower, forager, fermenter and maker of healthy foods and plant medicines. She’s a certified permaculture designer and educator, a homeschool educator and co-founder of the Urban Permaculture Lab, a regenerative design-based enterprise bringing the ethics and principles of permaculture to an urban context through accessible, educational and affordable practices. She also helps to steward the food forest in her community.
As with our other Arboretum Speaker Series lectures, this program is a pay-what-you can event. Inviting people to pay what they can allows us to ensure our programs are accessible to as many people as possible and being able to afford to attend is not a barrier. After you register, a confirmation email will be sent with a Zoom link to the event.
Join us for talks and workshops highlighting sustainability, women’s influence in horticulture and the healing power of plants during this monthly speaker series. Information: kathleen.salisbury@temple.edu or 267-468-8400.
