Ambler Campus: Ambler Arboretum and Bucks County Master Gardeners Lecture Series: Scott Guiser

    Temple University Ambler Campus
Scott Guiser will present “Grow Your Berry Best!” the first in a series of monthly lectures presented by the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University and Bucks County Master Gardeners.

Join Scott Guiser as he presented “Grow Your Berry Best!” the first in a series of monthly lectures presented by the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University and Bucks County Master Gardeners.

Strawberries, blueberries and bramble berries are fantastic additions to the home garden. In this presentation, Guiser will explore the key factors that lead to a successful crop. Take the next step in home food production by adding one of more of these fruits to your gardening repertoire!

Scott Guiser worked as a Penn State University Extension Educator for 37 years where he provided practical, research-based information to people working in the nursery, landscape, turfgrass, fruit and vegetable industries. He has also taught Commercial Fruit Production at Delaware Valley University for nine years. His award-winning work has been recognized by the Association of County Agricultural Agents, the Pennsylvania Nurserymen's Association, Pennsylvania Vegetable Growers Association and the Professional Grounds Management Society.

Guiser is currently a member of the Northeastern Weed Science Society and conducts applied weed research in horticultural crops. He is also on the faculty at the Barnes Foundation, teaching soil and weed science courses, and an instructor in the Rutgers University Continuing Education Program.

His lecture will be followed by a question and answer session.
