Join Carter van Dyke, ASLA, AICP, founder of CVDA Landscape Architects/Planners, for an in-depth look at healing gardens.
While gardens have always been a place of peace and relaxation, healing gardens entail specific planning and goals. Carter van Dyke has worked with organizations to create healing gardens and will walk us through the process of planning, design and implementation of some case studies. We will then take a walk into the Arboretum to learn more about the Ernesta Ballard Healing Garden.
Carter van Dyke, a member of the Ambler Campus Board of Visitors, sees the world as a landscape that is interconnected to people —environmentally, economically and socially. His passion is finding ways to share his enthusiasm that ultimately engages the client and users into a meaningful relationship with the landscape around them.
Designed to engage all levels of interest and knowledge, the Ambler Arboretum Speaker Series invites regional experts to discuss topics that will inspire participants while challenging their way of thinking about horticulture.
Program registration begins at 6:30 p.m., the presentation begins at 7 p.m. and Q&A follow at 8 p.m.
