Ambler Campus: Ambler Arboretum Speaker Series: The Care and Feeding of Carnivores

    Temple University Ambler Campus
Ambler Arboretum Speaker Series: The Care and Feeding of Carnivores

A number of the weird plants featured in Chris Thorogood’s book Weird Plants are carnivorous. You can grow some of them in your own backyard. From pitcher plants to sundews and butterworts, wetlands scientist Jeff Lapp will walk us through what you need to know to grow your own carnivorous plants in your home garden.

Part of the Longwood Gardens Community Read.

Join us for walks, talks and workshops highlighting sustainability, women’s influence in horticulture and the healing power of plants during this monthly speaker series. Program registration begins at 6:30 p.m., the presentation begins at 7 p.m. and Q&A follows at 8 p.m.
