The best way to learn about culture and promote understanding is to experience it firsthand.
Join the Office of Student Life for a special luncheon with a special lecture by Nu’Rodney T. Prad, Director of Student Engagement with the Temple University Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) as Temple University Ambler kicks off Black History Month!
IDEAL embodies Temple's commitment to sustain and nurture a strong inclusive campus community, capitalizing on the University’s demographic diversity to inspire meaningful engagement across identity groups in all their various forms. By promoting cross-cultural awareness and understanding, multiculturalism, cultural competency, and community building as well as celebrating difference, IDEAL affirms the educational value and benefits of diversity, equity and social justice.
As the Director of Student Engagement, Prad supports the social, cultural and academic development of students by providing advocacy and referral services tailored to meet the needs of Temple’s diverse population. He also works in collaboration with appointed members of the Student Advisory Coalition on diversity and social justice programming to coordinate initiatives meant to advance cultural awareness on campus and engages and invites the broader University community into the process of encouraging inclusivity on campus.
