Ambler Campus: Dr. John Frances — Approaching Sustainability

    Temple University Ambler Campus
    Dr. John Francis will speak at Temple University Ambler on March 5.

    Join Temple University Ambler and the Morris Arboretum for a fascinating journey with National Geographic explorer and environmental educator Dr. John Francis.

    Dr. Francis began his work in 1971 when, after witnessing an oil spill in San Francisco Bay, he stopped using motorized vehicles and took a vow of silence lasting 17 years.

    The founder of Planetwalk, he is the author of Planetwalker: 17 Years of Silence, 22 Years of Walking, and Ragged Edge of Silence: Finding Peace in a Noisy World. 

    A reception with refreshments with follow Dr. Frances' lecture.
