Thousands of visitors will mark Earth Day at Temple University Ambler celebrating the importance of protecting the environment and preserving their future.
More than 85 exhibitors, including Adventure Aquarium, Franklin Institute, FEMA, Academy of Natural Sciences, Elmwood Park Zoo, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Insectarium are expected to take part in EarthFest 2019.
School students of all ages are invited to attend in addition to college students, Temple University staff and the general public.
Volunteers are needed to fill dozens of slots to make this an enjoyable, safe and successful event. Work at an information table, help out in the exhibitor lunch area, and much more! Shifts are available: 7 to 9:30 a.m. (set-up), 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 12 to 2:30 p.m. Plus, there are two shifts for parking volunteers — 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering but can’t stay for a full shift, let us know what time you are available and we will make it work! Volunteers get a free shirt, free lunch, and a wonderfully fulfilling experience! Contact the volunteer coordinators at earthfest@temple.edu for additional information.
