What will you discover? Visit campus at any time during 10 hours of discovery in the Ambler Arboretum’s woodlands, meadows and more and help us find out what is living in your own backyard! Join experts in helping to increase the biodiversity on campus. Participants will learn how to identify plants, animals, fungi and more while noting what they find. These finds are added to an ever-accumulating account of the diversity in the Ambler Arboretum.
Participants learn why diversity is important and can take their new-found skills home to their backyard or local park and start identifying what is there as well. BioBlitz will include a variety of tours highlighting mammals, reptiles, insects, plants, fireflies, moths, fungi, birds and more (tour information coming soon)!
At the Green Careers Fair, which will be held in the Learning Center from 12 to 2 p.m. on October 4, students will have the opportunity to meet with and learn from representatives from a variety of green industry fields including conservation, horticulture, landscape architecture, planning, urban farming, and much more!
