Take some time out to support the campus and the community! Temple University Ambler invites all students, faculty, staff and alumni to take part in special community service projects on campus during the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to assist in the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University with important data collection and measuring of several plants and trees within the campus gardens — no experience necessary! Participants are asked to meet at the Visitor’s Center at 1:45 p.m.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Phi Beta Omega Chapter additionally invites the campus community to help them make “no-sew” blankets and "no sew” bags from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Campus Lounge. The items will be donated to local charities.
To commemorate the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service, the Office of Student Life is also hosting a non-perishable food drive for the Cherry Pantry. The Cherry Pantry’s mission is to combat hunger in the Temple community by supplying nutritious emergency food while providing equal treatment to all who visit the pantry. A donation box will be located in the Ambler Campus Learning Center beginning Tuesday, January 15.
