National Coming Out Day will be celebrated this year on Wednesday, October 11! National Coming Out Day is observed annually to celebrate coming out and to raise awareness of the LGBTQIA+ community and civil rights movement.
At Temple Ambler, the Office of Student and Campus Life, Ambler Student Life Board and Ambler Campus students will host a variety of events for National Coming Out Week from October 9 through October 13.
Queer History Trivia will be held on Wednesday, October 11, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Learning Center 2nd Floor Lounge.
A Queer Botany Walk will be held on Thursday, October 12, from 4 to 5 p.m. Learn about the campus gardens from a unique LGBTQ+ perspective! This program will be led by Temple University Landscape Architecture and Horticulture students! Meet in Bright Hall Circle at the flagpole!

At Temple Main Campus, Temple IDEAL is also hosting a full slate of National Coming Out Week Programming from October 9 through October 13. The NCOW Brunch, hosted by the IDEAL Pride Professional Network, will be held on Friday, October 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Register here.
