Coding is the processing, structuring, marking, categorizing, and familiarizing yourself with your data to facilitate analysis. Three workshops will cover some strategies for data and project management, transcription, creating codes and codebooks, coding data, analyzing codes, visualizing results, and reporting on your analyses.
This first workshop will introduce research data management and project management with Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) software, such as NVivo, ATLAS.ti and QualCoder. We will go over how to organize files outside and within a project, and data security and privacy and team work considerations. We will also cover strategies for transcripts and settings up different media types for QDA tools. Resources will be provided for more in-depth learning.
Participants are encouraged to register for all three parts. Participants unfamiliar with these QDA tools are encouraged to also register for or request a recording of the What Qualitative Data Analysis Tool is right for you workshop.
This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.
This workshop will be recorded. Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.
