Meet the Speaker:
Pamela Weisberg-Shapiro is a Nutrition professor at the School of Public Health at Temple University. Her goal as an educator is to train empathetic health care professionals who understand the complexity of nutrition and health. Pamela wants students to understand that the path to wellness is individualize and understanding people is just as important as understanding facts. To help inform her work in the classroom, Pamela partners with community organizations to provide nutrition services, such as program evaluations and nutrition education. Pamela is a mother of three crazy boys. Between work and family, she does not have any spare time. But if she did, she would enjoy reading, traveling and outdoor activities.
