Speaker: Dr Lea Johnson from Longwood Gardens / Associate Director, Land Stewardship and Ecology.

Title: Leveraging drivers of ecosystem change to shape future biodiversity: Insights from land stewardship in urban regions.

Abstract: How can we take today’s living biodiversity with us into the future? Can we leverage drivers of ecosystem change to understand what is possible and shape the future of biodiversity for people and nature? This seminar will explore these questions through the lens of land stewardship in urban regions, and illustrate ways that integrating ecological research and land stewardship practice can restore ecosystems and enrich nature experience.
