Speaker: Dr Megan Phifer-Rixey, Assistant Professor of Biology at Drexel University
Title: Evolution in Changing Environments
Abstract: House mice (Mus musculus domesticus) have successfully colonized most of the Americas and in doing so encountered many different habitats and climates. Dr. Phifer-Rixey's research investigates the genetic basis of adaptation in wild house mice using an integrative approach. In this talk, she will discuss ongoing projects focused on adaptation across latitudinal gradients and introduce a new project on urbanization.
