About the Event

The Bird Feeder Speaker Series kicks off in Spring 2021 on Wednesday, February 24 with Klein alumnae Samantha Hilty, KLN ‘17, senior art director at Grey NY, along with her colleagues Elizabeth Gilchrist, senior vice president and global account director, and Evan T. Atherton, copy supervisor. Hear how Sam and her team navigated rejection, a change in creative leadership, COVID, political landmines and other challenges to produce a viral video AdWeek called “chilling.” Sam will also include some of her personal journey since graduation, which includes winning a Clio and side projects. Participants will learn about concept development, video production, managing positive and negative feedback, and skills needed to survive in nearly any role after graduation.

Klein College of Media and Communication’s Department of Advertising and Public Relations is hosting the Bird Feeder Speaker Series: virtual talks aimed to provide a place to gather. Rest. Feed your mind, body and soul. Prepare for whatever lies ahead. Throughout the spring, alumni and other special guests will join Klein to explore topics and host discussions that feature a new way of looking at personal development and the advertising and public relations industries.
