BLAM! Docuseries | The Path Forward: The Journey of Black Philadelphia

    The inaugural Black Lives Always Mattered (BLAM)! docuseries event celebrates the Honorable Jannie L. Blackwell who will share her life story and personal experiences with prominent Black Philadelphians from her era. Blackwell is the vice chair of the Philadelphia Democratic Party and a former member of the City Council of Philadelphia. She represented the Third District, which covers much of West Philadelphia and Southwest Philadelphia, including University City, from 1992 to 2020.

     

    This program is part of the Black Lives Always Mattered! public program series at the Blockson Collection, which has been supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
