The 12th annual Global Temple Conference is a day-long symposium on November 15th designed to explore and celebrate Temple’s wide array of international work, promoting globalization as one of Temple's core values. As in the past, we’ll feature student, staff and faculty research, plus a variety of programs and creative ventures from around the world. We welcome proposals for various formats–papers, panel discussions, posters, films, performances, and exhibits–organized broadly around four pillars of university excellence: scholarship, teaching, creativity, and service. Prizes for the best student work will be awarded.
ABOUT THE DAY
The conference will be held at Howard Gittis Student Center with a plenary address and presentations and sessions throughout the day. A global information fair will showcase the many opportunities and resources available to members of the university community interested in adding an international dimension to their study, teaching and /or research. The conference is free and open to the Temple community and the public.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
We invite Temple faculty, students and staff, as groups or individuals, to submit proposals for papers, panel discussions, films, performances, and exhibits by September 8, 2017. Proposals for poster submissions are due by October 2, 2017. Proposals should be submitted electronically using our online form. All submissions will be reviewed by a jury of Temple faculty; presenters will be notified of the jury’s decisions on or about September 29, 2017 (October 15, 2017 for posters).
