At a Glance
The Independence Blue Cross Student Recreation Center provides patrons with a variety of quality recreational opportunities and is the primary area for general fitness activities and programs. The IBC Student Recreation Center has three total floors that includes everything from free weight dumbbells, a variety of strength machines and plethora of cardio equipment. The third floor also offers an indoor track and boxing training area for patrons. Access is available to students, staff and faculty of Temple University who have paid the rec fee; access policies.. Located at the corner of 15th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, the entrance to the center is off 15th Street across from the parking garage.

Some of our equipment and amenities include: free weight dumbbells, treadmills, ellipticals, strength machines, smith machines, spin bikes, recumbent bikes, cable machines, indoor track, racquetball courts, outdoor basketball courts, boxing training areas, space for stretching and dynamic fitness exercises, locker rooms with day use and rental lockers, & showers and changing space

Access to the facility:
Students use their OWLCARD to access the facility (the fee is paid through their tuition under University Fees)
