The Committee for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging in Social and Behavioral Sciences is hosting a Black History Month film screening and discussion series. This year's theme is Misrepresented and Misunderstood: Exploring Gangs, Sex Trafficking and Mass Incarceration.
All students are welcome attend. Screenings will be held in Tuttleman Learning Center, room 103. Light refreshments will be available, and discussion will follow.
FEB. 20 FILM: "Bastards of the Party" (2005). Directed by former Bloods gang-member Cle Sloan, this film explores the creation of the Bloods and Crips in Los Angeles, and denounces gang violence while presenting meaningful solutions to these problems.
