CHANGE: An original piece by Ben Mascioli

CHANGE is a piece that was conceived in 2018 but only recently finished for Benjamin Mascioli’s senior capstone project. Over the past four years, this piece more-or-less has stayed the same, but ultimately has changed a great deal when taking into account the changes that a person can go through during their college career. This is a five-movement piece, where movements 1, 3, and 5 explore the realm of the 2000's pop punk sound heard from bands such as Green Day and Blink-182. Movement 2 consists of an instrument Ben created in Ableton, creating a soundscape-like atmosphere. Movement 4 consists of a ballad piece, co-written by Marco Newsome.
