We’re going to RockLititz!

Rock Lititz is a one-of-a-kind production community that supports innovative creativity within the live event industry. With resources ranging from design, engineering and manufacturing through rehearsals, and beyond, Rock Lititz is a one-stop-shop to build any show. Lititz, PA, is about 6 miles north of Lancaster. Touring musicians (like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga) use RockLititz to develop, rehearse and perfect their touring shows before they take them on the road. Consequently, there are a number of small, independent businesses that hire highly creative people located on the campus to help support the tours. You can explore the businesses here.

We’ll be leaving at 12:30 pm on Friday, October 5 from 13th & Diamond Streets and arriving at RockLititz about 2:30. We’ll have a tour of the campus, and a panel discussion from several of the business on the campus who will talk about what they do for the musicians, and how they got such an awesome job. There will be time for some informal networking where you can find out how you can get a similar awesome job. At 5 or 5:30, we’ll head to Lancaster to attend their First Friday Art Walk in the downtown gallery district. At 7:30 we’ll head back to Tyler, arriving around 9:30 or 10 pm.
