For the first time ever, Philadelphia will be making history when it elects the next mayor on Election Day. Democratic Candidate Cherelle Parker or Republican Candidate David Oh will be either the city's first-ever African American woman or Asian American male as its 100th mayor.
Regardless of the outcome, what role does race play in our elections? Come join award-winning Inquirer Columnist Jenice Armstrong for a conversation on the impact of race in our elections. Moderated by Faculty of Color member David W. Brown, Assistant Dean for Community and Communication at Klein College of Media and Communication, we'll share an insightful dialogue as we look back at this election while looking forward to the Presidential election in 2024.
The event will be held on Thursday, November 9th from 2:30 - 4:00 pm in the Charles Library event space, 1900 N. 13th Street.
