Chinese Shufa Workshop

    College of Liberal Arts

Shufa (Calligraphy), a traditional art form known for its inherent beauty, is a cultural symbol of China and a conveyor of Chinese philosophy.

The Center for Chinese Language Instruction will offer two hands-on introductory workshops where you will learn basic calligraphy techniques, practice simple Chinese characters and strokes, develop patience and find a moment of tranquility. Workshops are conducted by Ms. Yu-han Tseng, a student in National Taiwan University's master's program for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.

No knowledge of Chinese or Chinese calligraphy is needed to participate in the workshops. Please email ccli@temple.edu with any questions.
