The CIS Department invites you to join us as we welcome Dr. Mauricio Gouvea Gruppi on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 2:00pm. Mauricio Gruppi received his PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research interests are in machine learning, natural language processing and computational sociolinguistics. His work has focused on models and applications of linguistic variation, misinformation detection, and text-based reinforcement learning. From 2019 through 2022 he worked as a member of the Rensselaer-IBM Artificial Intelligence Research Collaboration (AIRC).
