Coding for Data Analysis

    Temple University Libraries

This working group will explore the fundamentals and the intricacies of coding. Aimed at a beginner audience, we will practice a wide range of methods, including dataset harvesting and cleaning, analysis and modeling, using languages such as Python and R, as well as Unix for the Command Line and Regex for text processing. Students can bring their own coding problems to discuss and troubleshoot during sessions, but we will also work through a series of tutorials for text mining and image analysis over the duration of the semester.

Programs offered by Temple University Libraries are accessible to people with disabilities. Please contact Richie Holland, Director of Library Administration, at richieh@temple.edu or 215-204-3455 for more information, to request an accommodation, or with questions/concerns.
