Looking to try something new this month? Check out some of the new online non-credit classes being taught by Temple faculty, starting May 18!
Acting for the Camera: Have you ever watched a great film or television performance and wondered, "How did that actor DO that?" In this course, you will learn the fundamental techniques of acting and how to adapt those skills to the screen.
From the Page to the Stage: Monologue workshop for ages 7-12: Join this 3-day virtual monologue workshop! We will play group acting games AND craft solo performances. Students will choose monologues from their favorite Disney and Pixar classics to re-imagine in their own living spaces.
History of Popular Music: Popular music is all around us and has been a part of our lives since we were children. But how did it start and what are its roots? This course will trace the history and socio-cultural aspects of many genres of popular music while developing students' listening skills.
Yoga Fundamentals and Gentle Embodiment Series: Students will be guided through yoga videos, have access to lectures about yoga topics including chakras and Ayurveda, and engage in an online discussion forum with other students. This workshop is for beginners or those looking to deepen their knowledge of hatha yoga.
Get Inspired! Technology for Private Studio Teachers: Due to social distancing, many private instrumental teachers recognize the need as well as the advantage of online teaching. Technology can make lessons inspiring for both children and adults, and there is a world of user-friendly hi-tech tools to enhance your music studio.
