Getting from Discovery to Implementation of Evidence-based Practices: Challenges and Solutions in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Other Health Professions

In her role as ASHA’s Chief Staff Officer for Science and Research, Dr. Margaret Rogers has taken a wide view of issues related to the diffusion of innovation and challenges with dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices. To address these challenges, changes in both scholarly and scientific communities are needed.
On December 1, Dr. Rogers will address innovations and trends relevant across rehabilitation sciences, public health and disparate health-related disciplines. This will be a highly engaging seminar by a national expert who will discuss standardized reporting frameworks for clinical research, tools to support evidence-based clinical decision making, and clinical data registries/data science approaches to quality improvement.
