CPH Friday Seminar Series: Exploring the Contributions of Blacks in Nursing

    College of Public Health

    During this virtual presentation, Robyn Hilliard, MSN, CMSRN, NEA-BC, clinical director of nursing administration at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, will take the audience on a journey through history to become familiar with several early nurse heroes. Attendees will learn about the inaugural Black nursing school's admission standards and operating conditions and common Black nurse stereotypes. Lastly, some of the strategic methods used to advance the professionalization of Blacks in nursing will be presented.
