Please join our interprofessional Trauma Informed workgroup as we build on our 2022-23 discussion about trust and trauma.

Experiences of individual, collective, and organizational trauma can impede trust in self, others, and systems. Rebuilding trust is an important aspect of the healing journey for individuals who have experienced trauma and harm. Healing happens within the context of relationships across individuals, organizations, and systems. A multi-tiered approach to addressing trust through a trauma lens is vital.

This virtual session will include an exploration of the ways in which relational trust can be addressed using trauma-informed care principles. The session will also build an understanding of strategies to address relational trust dilemmas at practice, procedure, and policy levels. Speakers will foster discussion and reflection about how to support the (re)building of trust and safety within the systems in which we live, work, and play.
