CPH Office of Research Administration Seminar Series: What You Need to Know About Open Access Publishing

    College of Public Health

Do you want to expand the reach and impact of your scholarship? Have you heard about open access but aren’t sure how it works? In this presentation, Dr. Annie Johnson, scholarly communications specialist at the Libraries and Press, and Lauri Fennell, public health and social sciences librarian, will explain the current landscape of open access publishing and what that means for you as a researcher. They’ll discuss how open access differs from subscription publishing, how to avoid so called ‘predatory publishers’, and how you can make your work openly available even if you don’t publish in an open access journal.

    WHEN: Nov. 15 from 1–2 p.m.

WHERE: Charles Library, Event Space Room 102
