CPH Research Day is a college-wide event that showcases research in public health, social work, kinesiology, and other clinical fields conducted by students who are working with mentorship from or in collaboration with faculty advisors. The event also serves as a great training experience for students, since a critical element of research is dissemination of findings and interaction with professional colleagues. There will be citation awards for meritorious posters and a “Dean’s Award for Research Excellence.”
Are you advising a student on a research project?
Please encourage your students to submit an abstract and to the entrepreneurship competition. A variety of abstracts can be submitted including: Research Reports, Special Interest Reports, Case Study Reports, and Theory Reports. Graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Public Health are eligible to submit. Faculty collaborators and post-docs are welcome but the student must be the lead author. Students may have a proxy present to discuss their work if they absolutely cannot attend the research day (e.g., a co-author or faculty advisor).
Please see the attached document for the abstract submission guidelines.
Abstract Submission Deadline
Abstracts should be submitted via the 2018 Abstract Submission Form by Monday March 19th, 2018. Acceptance decisions will be made by Friday April 6th.
