Dr. Vogt is an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona (2012); her M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona (2006); and her B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley (2001). Her research focus is in Migration, Violence, Political Economy, Transnational Feminisms, Borders & Transit Spaces, Race & Gender in Mexico, Latin America, and the USA. To further her research she has recently been the recipient of a Fulbright-Hays Award (2008-2009); a National Science Foundation Grant (2008-2009); a P.E.O. Scholars Award (2009); and a UA Excellence Fellowship (2011).
