    The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Seminar Series presents Dr. Gabriel L. Schwartz: “Housing Insecurity and Health: Policy Solutions and Their Pitfalls”

    In this presentation, Dr. Schwartz will share research on the connections between housing insecurity and health, focusing on the ways eviction and poor housing quality create cycles of inequity across the life course. Moving beyond causal links, this talk will also discuss new research on housing policy solutions that promote the public’s health, as well as places policymakers have fallen short (where organizing and advocacy are critical). Dr. Schwartz is a social epidemiologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Management & Policy at Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health.
