"Topo Gigio is Dead" dir. David Miranda Hardy
After meeting unexpectedly at a funeral in Philadelphia, two Chileans seek to come to terms with their parents brutal past.
"Dear Bill Gates" dir. Sarah Christman
Combining original and archival film, video and images from the internet, Dear Bill Gates draws unexpected connections among mining, memory and Microsoft.
"Mi Querida Buenos Aires" dir. David Romberg
Chronicles the history of the filmmaker's father, artist Osvaldo Romberg, who was a professor at the University of Tucumán in Argentina, which by the early 1970’s had become one of the central points of the resistance against the military dictatorship.
"The Witmans" dir. Joe Lee
What does one do when their young son is murdered and their only other child is sentenced to life for the crime? Meet Ron and Sue Witman, and see how this nightmare has become their reality.
The Department of Film and Media Arts finds a new screening venue: the historic Temple Performing Arts Center on Broad Street. Enjoy a light hors d'oeuvres and drinks with live music provided by Boyer College of Music and Dance students, followed by screenings of original and inspiring films.
