Discussion with Professor Jeanette Davidson: "Black people in Scotland? Stories Past and Present"

    College of Liberal Arts

    Jeanette R. Davidson PhD ACSW was born and raised in Scotland.  She is Professor of African & African American Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Currently she is writing a book, Black Lives in Scotland: Telling Our Stories, to be published by Edinburgh University Press. Jeanette Davidson is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council for Black Studies (NCBS), is a member of the Executive Board of the Southwest Center for Human Relations in Education, home of the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE). She was selected by the publication Diverse: Issues in Higher Education as one of 25 outstanding women in higher education in 2018. She was also selected as one of the nine women in “Inspiring Stories of Women Empowerment” in the publication Knowledge Review in 2018.
