Electronics Faire: Tiny Handmade Speakers with Lily Crandall

    Temple University Libraries

In this workshop, attendees will learn how to make their very own handmade speaker! We’ll start with an overview of the components of speakers and then introduce the materials we will use: conductive thread, copper tape, fabric, and paper. Attendees will make and test their speakers, exploring how different materials result in different sound quality and volume. It is not necessary to have experience in electronics, sewing, or audio to attend this workshop. All materials provided.

About the Instructor: Lily Crandall is a creative technologist and fiber artist who enjoys working at the intersection of the two fields. She has experience in volunteer education/training as well as accessibility consulting.
