Media and politics are everywhere nowadays, but how can you use them as a force for good? Join Klein College of Media and Communication in partnership with Temple University’s Latinx Media Association in a free interactive workshop for high school students exploring the interconnections of politics and media! On Thursday, March 4 at 2 p.m., college students Thomas Hernandez and Luisa Suarz from Klein College Latinx Media Association will talk about how they’ve connected communication and politics as double majors, journalists and researchers during their time in college. This workshop is open to any high school students and teachers.
About the Series
Klein Futures’ Creativity in Communication Workshop Series provides free virtual workshops for high school students to learn from college students about their experiences and how they use media and communication in their everyday lives. Klein Futures is a high-school based partnership program connecting Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University with local high schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Klein Futures aims to build direct connections between high school students interested in digital media, communication arts, writing, and design with local, trained college-aged peers who can aid in education and mentorship toward college and career paths.
