Faculty Recital: Robert Brosh, electronics, music and visual media

Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts

    Hendrix ReVisited

Hendrix ReVisited is led by Temple faculty member Rob Brosh. This ensemble seeks to create a multi-media music experience that integrates live music performance with visual art while recreating the look, the sounds and the classic vibe of The Jimi Hendrix Experience! Hendrix ReVisited is a multi-dimensional stage experience that features “state of the art” concert visuals (on a big screen behind the band) that have been developed by a team of concert visualists, artists, and illustrators. Part of the Hendrix ReVisited identity is a “27 club” theme. This means that the ensemble creates different performances that feature the music of the infamous "27 club" members such as Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, and more, combined with their staple of Jimi Hendrix classics. Furthermore, Hendrix ReVisited utilizes midi-electronics, synth bass, and live loops that reveal a very modern sound while keeping the feel and sound of the Jimi Hendrix Experience!
