Join us for this year’s installment of the Dr. Ione Vargus Lecture Series. The Family Reunion Institute (FRI) presents a workshop for those planning their first family reunion and planners that want to rejuvenate their existing reunion. FRI was founded over 30 years ago by Dr. Ione Vargus, dean emerita at Temple University and author of the recently published book Black Family Reunions: Finding the Rest of Me.

The workshop will provide an overview of the benefits of reunions, how to plan a reunion, deal with family secrets, and present family history. Moderated by Bill Vargus, speakers include Dr. Ione Vargus, and FRI Advisory Board members Suzanne Vargus Holloman, Sylvia Ford-George, Shamele Jordan, Helen Wilkinson and Doug Harris.

The Ione Vargus Lecture Series is made possible through the support of the Dr. Ione D. Vargus Program Fund.

This program will be presented via Zoom. On the day of the program, use this link to join: https://temple.zoom.us/j/93711027276

Our programs are geared toward a general audience and are open to all, including Temple students, faculty, staff, alumni, neighbors, and friends. Registration is encouraged.
