Alexander (Xander) Manshel, from McGill University, will be giving a talk on “Fictions of History: Race and the Formation of the Contemporary American Canon.”  The talk is taking from his exciting forthcoming book, Writing Backwards: Historical Fiction and the Reshaping of American Canon.
