Join, Dr. Lisa Ferretti, a research assistant professor and director of the continuing education program in Temple's School of Social Work. Lisa’s current work includes investigation and intervention development to address loneliness and isolation in older adults and people with disabilities and experiences of loss and grief.
In this interactive session we will begin to explore loss and grief through a social work lens. We will engage in thoughtful discussions and activities designed to deepen our understanding of the complex emotional experiences individuals face during times of loss. We will consider the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of loss and grief, learning how to provide empathetic support to individuals and communities in diverse contexts. This session will encourage self-reflection of your own experiences with loss and grief, fostering personal growth and professional preparedness for your future practice.
