Forming and Researching PICO Questions

    Temple University Libraries
    Wednesday, September 17, 2025 // 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
A Doctor Writing on a Folder while Leaning on the Wall

PICO questions can help you create a focused, searchable clinical question. This model makes it easier to find the evidence to answer a patient’s question. If you plan to publish or present your research, PICO questions can function as a framework to your research. Participants will learn how to identify the pieces of a PICO question, how to formulate the question based on information needs, and which tools are best to gather evidence to answer the question.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link. This workshop will not be recorded, but a copy of the slides will be emailed after the workshop concludes.

Please contact Courtney Eger, courtney.eger@temple.edu, with questions.

Workshop is recommended for: Graduate students, faculty, staff, Temple Hospital staff, and community members
