Launched in 2001, FOUND Magazine showcases all the strange, hilarious, and heartbreaking things people have picked up and passed the editors’ way.
For nearly two decades, the FOUND team has collected and published found stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids’ homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles—anything that gives a glimpse into someone else’s life. Anything goes.
FOUND co-creator Davy Rothbart will share magnificent and mesmerizing finds that have landed in the mailbox at FOUND headquarters, while brother and fellow editor Peter will dazzle with beautiful, haunting, and hysterical songs based on the finds.
Davy Rothbart is a bestselling author, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, and contributor to NPR’s This American Life.
Peter Rothbart is an award-winning songwriter, and the frontman for folk/rock group The Poem Adept.
A student-curated exhibit of finds from FOUND collections and finds submitted by Temple students and faculty opens Monday, February 27 on the 2nd floor of Anderson Hall.
The event and exhibit are co-sponsored by the Center for Public History, the GenEd Program, the Honors Program, and Paley Libraries.
