Tyler’s last field trip for the semester will be Saturday, October 26 to the Editions/Artists Book Fair in Chelsea and the IFPDA Print Fair at the Javits Center. Bus leaves 13th & Diamond Streets at 9 am Saturday and takes you to The Caldwell Factory, 547 W 26th Street, which is in the Chelsea gallery district. At 1:45 pm, the bus leaves Chelsea and takes you to the River Pavilion at Javits Center, 11th & 35th Street for the Print Fair. Bus leaves the River Pavilion at Javits Center at 5 pm to return to Tyler.
The bus ride is free and the Artists Book Fair is free. The Print Fair is $15 for students with ID. If you sign up for tickets, you must attend or cancel no later than noon on Friday, November 4 or you will not be able to get tickets to future field trips. You are not required to go to the Print Fair to ride the bus. You are not required to return on the bus if you do not want to. The first stop is near the High Line. And you can actually walk between Caldwell Factory and Javits Center if you want more time at the second location. Javits Center is a half block from the 34th St/Hudson Yards subway station.
If you sign up, you will get a ticket. I will note here when the trip is full and you are signing up for the waiting list. (I will send you a reminder on Wednesday or Thursday October 23/24.)
Registration opens at 9 am on Monday, October 14.
