An evening of powerful and mystical liturgical chants uplifted by Afro-diasporic rhythms and jazz harmonies from Schwarz-Bart’s recent album Hazzan. An associate professor at Berklee College of Music, Schwarz-Bart is known for reuniting jazz music with its Afro-Caribbean and spiritual origins.
