Join us for a transformative event that moves from researcher-led analysis to community-driven solutions. Tesla DuBois, winner of this year’s Graduate Research Award for Sustainability Program (GRASP) award, will present her timely research on the non-smoking-related drivers of lung cancer in Pennsylvania, using spatial and statistical methods to uncover key environmental and social contributors. Following the lecture, we will explore together how these insights can be applied within the communities surrounding Temple University, with a special focus on collaboration with local organizations and residents.
Attendees from diverse fields, including geography, public health, sustainability, city planning, policy, communications, and community organizing — will engage in table discussions to begin identifying actionable steps and laying the groundwork for continued collaboration.
