Garland L. Thompson on the Influence of Technology on Black History

    Join us for a presentation by Garland L. Thompson, journalist and author. Thompson will discuss Black pioneers in technology, as well as societal changes caused by technology.

    Thompson is the author of Unheralded but Unbowed: Black Scientists & Engineers Who Changed the World (Createspace, 2009). He is also a veteran journalist, former Baltimore Sun editorial writer, and columnist and contributing editor at US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine. A graduate of Temple University, Thompson earned his BA in Journalism and JD from the Beasley School of Law.
